Is it just me or what? because it seems as though it is easier to deduce the character of the heavenly Father from evil than it is to know from good.

When evil strikes you can just immediately know that God's character is just the antithesis of that evil
God CANNOT just be found in evil. You won't find him there.

But you just can't seem to make this kind of claim with good.

You can't easily differentiate the good that God does from the good where he is not found. Good doesn't give you that much clarity as per God as good
And you simply just can't make that naive claim of putting into God's account anything good at all. For the sake of sanity, this is unrealistic.

While we all aspire for the good and totally abhor the evil, it seems like there is the consequence of obscuring the character of God
Some or most would even choose to take the path of evil in order to reach the good with no regard whatsoever to the knowledge of the Father.

Having forgotten that man's ultimate end or goal in life is not the pursuit of good or happiness rather the knowledge of the Father
Could it now be that we'll embrace evil rather than good because we can with it know the Father? But what would that make God? That will only achieve to make God the architect of evil, which can never be.

God is altogether good, nothing evil. He is light, no darkness at all
We'll never justify evil,no matter how much of it befalls us. We keep our heads up while we wait for that good which is sure to come

Good may not be as explicit as evil when it comes to knowing the Father but the good that explains the Father is better than all evils can do
So when evil comes, we know God is found in the antithesis of it but with good the least we can do is to just be grateful as this is far better.
