2) Here's recipe I tried that worked perfectly! And you can keep the potatoes cooking on low or medium for longer than suggested- just leave them in the pot while people graze. I used Morton Canning & Pickling Salt for an authentic brine style experience. https://www.food.com/recipe/salt-potatoes-new-york-style-91093
3) Melted butter completes the experience. As a kid, I'd have butter dripping down my chin, and tonight... same.

SO very happy to have this joyful tradition from my childhood to share with my own family!

4) My grandparents & parents gone for many years now- been feeling a bit without roots & a little down.
Suddenly I was craving salt potatoes, & now I feel a bit of "home" to share with my family. I feel so blessed!
I seriously LOVE these, so did my family! Big hit!

Adding what I forgot: small red potatoes, 3 lb bag work very well.
Tiny round potatoes get very tender and can jab with fork, slide around in the melted butter on bottom of your dish.
A small bowl works well for putting 2-4 tiny potatoes in + melted butter over them.
