plants that are almost impossible to kill: a thread
now let me preface this thread with this is from my personal experience!! these are just some plants that are very beginner friendly and can still live through neglect**
**MOST plants can thrive on low light, minimal watering, BUT it is way more ideal to give them proper living conditions if you want to see them flourish. plants are still living creatures, so be kind! these are just a few plants that are nice to have when you (cont.)
really want one to liven up your house, or simply get into plants as a whole because of quarantine, BUT don't really have to actively keep up with them. that being said: here they are!
Sansevieria aka snake plants
these plants are so cute! they really liven up a space, and add a nice touch of greenery to a room. they don't need much water, and can tolerate low light. (i forgot to water mine for 3 months and it's still alive)
zanzibar gem aka ZZ plant
this is my second favorite on this list, just because its so pretty! they can tolerate low light and don't require much water to stay alive. like all plants it is susceptible to root rot, so let the soil dry out completely inbetween waterings.
pothos!
these are by far my favorite on this list, they're so pretty but require very minimal care. they are, however, susceptible to pests such as mealybugs or scale, so be careful!!
pepperomia golden gate *NOT MY PICTURE*
this plant makes a wonderful office plant! mine has thrived on neglect so far. they tolerate low light and don't mind if you miss a few waterings here and there.
hoya kerrii aka heart leaf hoya!
i don't really have much to say about this one other than it's super cute because it's a heart. i have no idea if it's real or not because i don't do anything with it and it's still alive 😭
agloanema commutatum aka Chinese evergreen!
these plants are slow growers, and they can tolerate pretty much any indoor conditions. they tolerate low light/fluorescent light, making them perfect desk or table plants. keep them away from any drafts (heating/ac, open window, etc)!
ONE IMPORTANT NOTE TO ADD: some of these plants are POISONOUS IF INGESTED!! keep them away from small children and pets, and you should ALWAYS wash your hands after you handle ANY plants!!
with all of that being said, if anyone read this, thank you! i might plan to do more plant threads in the future if this does well!
