Christian Cooper, the bird watcher, is more conciliatory than me.

But he’s got a point.

The woman has already paid a steep price.

Cancel culture can go too far and I think we are at a tipping point.

Not every mistake should be a life ruiner.

Egregious ones yes, but not all.
I know I’m going to be attacked here. Of course I know what she did is terribly wrong. My point is she’s lost her job and probably her ability to work for the foreseeable future. I can’t stand the woman, but when is enough enough?
Last point and I’m done with this. I’m not defending the woman. She’s despicable. But I get Christian Cooper’s point. She’s lost her job, is forever infamous, and will be a long-standing pariah. We don’t have to drain every single cancel culture body of their last spec of blood.
