Ruth doctor is a regenerated Donna: a thread <3

imagine something triggering donna’s memories to return and the ‘burning up’ was actually regeneration energy starting to kick in because she was more timelord than the doctor initially thought.

and when the regeneration starts, she becomes ruth.

the TARDIS:
there is a deleted scene from journey’s end that shows the doctor giving rose and tentoo something to grow a tardis, meaning, that it was never canonically given to them and donna may still have had it.

she could’ve grown it to get a TARDIS as the scene shows her having knowledge of how to accelerate the rate of growth.

somewhere along the line she may have gotten into trouble with gat whilst working for her and so hid her consciousness inside of the fire alarm before the TARDIS had finished growing, hence why it’s inside the ground.

donna knew about gallifrey and how much it being gone upsets the doctor and so she may have atttempted to find other gallifreyans, like gat, because she would carry that pain too.

when she breaks the fire alarm she may have gotten confused and thought she was the doctor, as she obviously shares their mind, or she is purposely hiding her true identity from the doctor for a reason i will talk about later.

this could also be why thirteen is taken by the judoon at the end of the s12 as she shares DNA with donna and so they may have gotten the two confused.

donna’s relationship with her family (specifically her mum) would also translate to ruth’s attitude towards the lighthouse and her ‘parents’.

this theory could also explain why ruth is more comfortable with using weapons than the doctor.

ruth doctor also has donna’s attitude and makes fun of the sonic...like ‘is there even a word for how dumb you are’ is so donna you can’t even argue with me.

when ruth says ‘i’d quite like it if you got off my ship now’ there is so much anger in her eyes, which could suggest that if she is donna, she is hiding her true identity from the doctor because she is still angry at them for taking her memories away.
