Reactionary liberals don’t actually own the principles of tolerance, equality and freedom.
Right now, movements all around the world are calling for those principles to be extended to every human being- surely the foundational demand of liberalism!

When a truly radical movement emerges for social justice, for equal treatment at work and before the law, reactionary liberals launch into the same old self-indulgent backlash, because apparently the one thing we can’t and mustn’t tolerate is white middle-class discomfort.

We’ve been going round and round on the haunted carousel of liberal conversation for ten years now,and I’m so, so bored of hearing that calling a racist a racist makes me literally Stalin.
