For everyone saying, “they can’t just cancel college football,”

I’ve got news: They can, and they will.

Trust me, I want this season too. I get paid to talk and write about the game. I have a dog in the fight here, but at the end of the day it’s football and the health of student-athletes, staff and faculty take priority.

We were told what precautionary measures ought to have been in place, instead there was an assumption that CFB would just happen regardless of your individual efforts.

Here we are 130,000+ lives lost later and college football is thought of as some untouchable force.

It’s not too late. This isn’t political, this is being considerate and willing to put the work in to reap your benefits.

The work: wash your hands, wear a mask, don’t put yourselves or others at risk.

The benefits: the full return of sports and the continuation of CFB.
