The other striking thing about this to me was the amount of money spent.
Between the four networks, over $3.5mil was spent on Facebook ads. Most of it came from the two networks associated with PR firms.

Last thing: It would be useful if Facebook created a catalogue of content promoted by these networks so we can better understand them.
