THREAD: Growing up, I was always a huge gamer. Started back in the Philippines at my uncle's internet cafe. My family moved to the US from the Philippines for better opportunity around the time the first Uncharted came out (2007). That's how I fell in love with Naughty Dog - 1/7 https://twitter.com/sweetbabymeens/status/1280951965657284616
I always loved Uncharted but I still remember seeing the premiere trailer for TLOU back in 2011 and being SO excited for it. When I finally played it in 2013, I was a junior in highschool and like a lot of people, it changed my life and the way I saw video games - 2/7
When Left Behind came out, I was a senior in high school and going through the difficult process of accepting my sexuality. Up until that point, I had not seen anything like Ellie and Riley's relationship in a lot of media, much less in video games. That did it for me - 3/7
In college, I pursued a degree in Compsci with a minor in Game dev. When I graduated, I didn't have any work experience or connections in the industry. After many applications later, I landed a contract at Square Enix where I met @loganwillis1915. We shared a love for ND - 4/7
During that time (2018), ND was starting to ramp up their marketing for TLOU2. We went to our first E3 together and literally went to every TLOU related event LOL. It was also where I took this photo of Logan with @Neil_Druckmann LMAO little did we know - 5/7
Logan and I were nearing the end of our contracts and saw some QA positions open up at ND. I encouraged her to apply as my contract ended a little later. As she was going through the interview process a few weeks later, she encouraged me to apply too! - 6/7
By some miracle, destiny, fate, whatever you call it, we both got the job! we were actually scheduled to start on the same day but I had a contract to finish up. Nevertheless, here we were: two gals who ended up working on the sequel to our favorite game at our dream company❀7/7
