A lot of people talk about cold showers on this platform but nobody digs deep into the benefits.
Studies show that taking cold showers produces more white blood cells. White blood cells are key to protecting your body from disease therefore being able to produce more is vital.
Cold showers increase your metabolic rate and can in turn help you boost your metabolism and lose fat.
Cold water can help relieve muscle soreness according to the New England journal of medicine. The constriction of blood vessels while taking a cold shower contributes to limiting inflammation.
Since cold showers help blood flow this can lead to better looking skin because our blood carries important nutrients needed for our skin.
Hot water damages the skin and hair therefore cold water is ideal while bathing.
Studies show that cold showers can also increase mood because of certain chemicals released during cold immersion.
In my experience taking cold showers for more than a year has improved my skin, rid me of almost all my allergies. Cold showers also act as my coffee and give me a huge energy boost.
