In London over the last yr, for all #stopsearch powers, black people have been stopped at c. 4x the rate of white each month.
For s60 it's 2-5x (except 8x in Aug '19, coinciding w policing of Notting Hill Carnival).

It's true that in 2018/19 the fig for Eng&Wal was 9.5x (all powers). But NB the Met accounted for 47% of all #stopsearch that yr & 79% of all SS of black people (56k out of 71k).
In 2011, 58% of black people in E&W lived in London (1.1m out of 1.9m) https://www.ethnicity-facts-figures.service.gov.uk/crime-justice-and-the-law/policing/stop-and-search/latest#by-ethnicity

So the higher rate of #stopsearch in the Met skews national disproportionality calculations, something that will be becoming even more of an issue as the Met has increased SS so much over the last 2 years.
For s60, the Met skews things even more, accounting for 73% of #stopsearch in 2018/19 (9.6k out of 13.2k) and 84% of SS of black people (4.1k/4.9k).
