I& #39;m going to be doing this regularly - basically STORY NIGHT - something to motivate you all, to help you stay positive, to fuel that mindset.

For my 1st ever thread, we are talking about MICHAEL JORDAN - one of my favourite success stories

MJ was competitive in everything, this was noticed from an early age by his friends and family. He got rejected during his basketball try-outs but he kept going.

His plan was PRACTICE.

He got to school early before everyone else, and spent that time practicing.

In fact, he would often be late to his 1st lesson bc he was practicing.

Even when he made it to the team, he wasn& #39;t playing much, he was on the bench, the water & towel boy.

MJ showed several characteristics until this point which we can all benefit from in business;

1. Persistence --> never give up

2. Practicing --> do stuff until you& #39;re the best

3. Determination --> remember why you got started & dont forget it.

This guy was actually CUT from the high-school varsity basketball team. Can you believe it?

The same guy was then considered for the ALL TIME GREATEST BASKETBALL player award.

His most famous quote;

“I have missed more than 9,000 shots in my career. I have lost almost 300 games. On 26 occasions I have been entrusted to take the game winning shot, and I missed. I have failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.”

His RELENTLESS drive led him to break world records & even credited with single-handedly increasing the popularity of basketball.

So to conclude, the message to take away

- KEEP GOING

- NEVER GIVE UP

- Doesnt matter what others think, if you believe in yourself then you will be successful

- Don& #39;t let the setbacks really set you back.
