gus and his soulmate emma; a thread
important fact: gus was born in allentown pennsylvania and emma in long beach california
since emma's sister was preparing for the olympic games, they moved to allentown because emma's sister was training there
at the same time, gus moved to long beach with his family
after emma's sister suffered a tragic injury, the family moved back to long beach as fate decided
fast forward to third grade, gus and emma ended up in the same elementary school and they had the same classes
in fifth grade, gus asked emma to be his girlfriend
when they reached puberty, they always had little arguments
when they were in their senior year, they started sleeping at each others houses
after high school they decided to move to california, gus and brennan moved to los angeles and emma and her sister moved to san diego
after a time, gus decided to move back to new york, emma couldn't stand living without him and moved back as well, only a month after gus
and then the music gus was making blew up, he was getting bigger and bigger
emma felt like she wasn't part of it
"I grew so attached to him, it felt like I physically needed him just to breathe and I knew he was going to have to leave me behind, at least for the time being."
they always had an on and off relationship, but even when they weren't together they still loved each other and were on really good terms
first time gus and emma got tattoos together, gus shot this video
"I wrote that song about a girl in the crowd tonight" he is talking about emma because he performed the way i see things the first time emma came to his show
this was the last time gus and emma saw each other
this is a part of the speech emma held at gus‘ memorial, she is wearing here the same hoodie that gus did in his 16 lines music video
gus once wrote this love letter for emma and she got the drawing tattooed
this poem is also in emma's deeper than the ocean poetry book
here is the poem from the previous video in emma's book
