I shared a "morning of art" before I went to the store and came back in a foul mood.
I'll shake off that mood now & re-share these. If anyone wants to chat about the art/music/themes to get your mind off the depressing times we live in, I'll be here for a while. ☕️ https://twitter.com/buske_natalie/status/1280854811404128256
2) I'll share them in reverse order from this morning, as a thread. Some of these might be new to you. If we've only recently been following each other, then maybe you've not seen any of these yet. Last one will say /end thread/ https://twitter.com/buske_natalie/status/1280853743270051840?s=20
3) This one needs a cover thumbnail. I'd left it off some of these initially because it's fun for people to not know what the picture will look like ahead of time, but if there's no thumbnail on the video, fewer people click on it. https://twitter.com/buske_natalie/status/1280852180489187329?s=20
4) I'll always remember the day that I stood in this spot, when taking pictures around the city to look at later to paint. It was the day of my daughter's ACT test & I was very nervous for her. Husband & I were restless, waiting for her to finish. https://twitter.com/buske_natalie/status/1280850811095003138?s=20
5) After learning about this tropical rose, I'd like to have this plant... but it needs a lot of room to grow, so I have to wait until we buy a house. Right now, my garden is restricted to patio containers. https://twitter.com/buske_natalie/status/1280850421058342913?s=20
6) I learn about new flowers when I need to paint one for a specific project goal. This is a one of several types of flowers described as "Lenten Rose" or "Lenten Flower". I've since seen a pink ruffly one that I'd love to have one day. https://twitter.com/buske_natalie/status/1280849325074063369?s=20
7) This one was a personal challenge. I was to paint whatever image came to mind when listening to the work of an original pianist/composer. This was an interesting project and it pushed me to paint in a slightly different style. https://twitter.com/buske_natalie/status/1280847723491741697?s=20
8) A lot of these were projects for the books I was working on. This was for "50 Oil Paintings Inspired by Savannah, Georgia". These cookies are small, but addictive. So tiny- have another. One more... one more... Eat the plate too, lol https://twitter.com/buske_natalie/status/1280847338769133569?s=20
9) 2 of our 3 kids- ah, this was before the quarantine and masking madness... those already feel like long ago "good old days"
We need to take those days BACK! https://twitter.com/buske_natalie/status/1280847006949429255?s=20
10) This was inspired by a previous year when the church had a floral display and each member of the congregation was invited to add a different flower to the display. Easter isn't just a special day at church. It cannot be "cancelled". https://twitter.com/buske_natalie/status/1280846669379260416?s=20
11) We're letting go of our losses, but I bring it up because there's still no reconciliation in our nation. Obama era policies deeply hurt & ruined so many of us- yet there's still denial & outright hostility about what happened.
Lies = can't heal nation https://twitter.com/buske_natalie/status/1280846376033759232?s=20
12) That was our first hurricane evacuation. I'd been thru -20 degree life threatening cold, blizzards, tornadoes, floods, hail storms, etc... but never a hurricane. "How long do we have to get out????" 😬😮😱(plenty of time) Minimal storm damage, whew https://twitter.com/buske_natalie/status/1280846069451063298?s=20
13) We still get this kind a lot, but also other varieties now too. It helps to place feeders in or near a plant known to attract hummingbirds. https://twitter.com/buske_natalie/status/1280844028095991808?s=20
14) I have no idea whose house this is 😂 https://twitter.com/buske_natalie/status/1280843725187559426?s=20
15) We get bluebirds here sometimes, but not as often as the others. Cardinals are here every day, often. Yesterday there were five cardinals on the patio all at once- juveniles and one male. https://twitter.com/buske_natalie/status/1280842315368718336?s=20
16) I love to collect sand dollars, but only if they are no longer living. You aren't supposed to remove them if they are still alive, and I wouldn't want to. They are amazing creatures. https://twitter.com/buske_natalie/status/1280841661497708544?s=20
17) Matthew has since been successfully released back to the wild. https://twitter.com/buske_natalie/status/1280841471072047107?s=20
18) Seeing this makes me want to plan our next beach day. https://twitter.com/buske_natalie/status/1280841042762366976?s=20
19) Oh my, I didn't realize how many I'd shared today. I have to go- it's about time to start dinner prep. Hate to make you go scrolling to see the others, but don't worry I'll share these again at some point. Or you can visit my website where the vids are in a menu
