As a preview of this week's episode but also as a continuation of the topic at hand: Powerful Lumineth Mechanics without Teclis.
Combo A:
Voice of the Mountain Spell + Cathalar.
A quick way to get people to never play you again. (As @ALL_CPS_SPOOKY likes to put it.)
Voice of the Mountain Spell: -2 Bravery to your opponent units tablewide during your turn. -1 Bravery during your opponent.
Cathalar has 3 mechanics that leverages this highly:
a. They can make a unit -1 Bravery permanently when a friendly unit uses a Quartz.
b. They can make a lumineth unit immune to BShock and assign that unit casualties to another unit casualty pool for Battleshock.
c. Their signature spell makes a unit take Bravery Tests to move, charge, shoot and fight in combat.
Examples of Resulting combo:
1. Kurdoss failing 2 Bravery test (1 at -3 and another at -2) thus failing to bring his ability to change the tide of a combat.
2. Forcing my opp. to make two crippling Bravery Test with Brv 10 units at -10 Brv even though one unit only lost 1 model.
Ways to make that combo even more annoying:
Total Eclipse spell that makes your opponent command abilities cost an additional Command Point. Aw you need to be immune to BShock but only got 1 CP, suckit.
Purple Sun or Horrorghast dropping additional neg mods to bravery.
