Everyone is different/unique, but his uniqueness is more visible than most.
& it’s a gift; an instant filter on how strangers respond to him, a thing that made us more intentional than we might have been as parents, the joy of watching him conquer things in his own way, always.

I’ve always believed humans are brilliant but this experience, and the role models we see - one-armed rock climbers! weather reporters! footballers! - have reinforced it so clearly.
