Marginilized community in this country who have watched incendiary and hateful comments become so pervasive and commonplace in this country that it’s just a matter of when and not if they play out in real life and the degree with which they harm the recipient. Im watching this
Play out on Twitter in real time as people argue over “what’s more offensive”. Let this be clear: You can NOT in the hope of uplifting your own community dehumanize another group of people in the process. You can NOT demand equality and justice for your community while inflaming
The existence of another group of people. You can not make false equivalencies.. you can NOT applaud incredible efforts for humanity and stay silent in the face of bigotry. I believe human rights should be equitable for every race and classification. And as I fight for justice
For my community I will do my best to serve as an ally to those fighting battles in their own backyard. The SECOND we as the disenfranchised realize we are NOT each other’s enemy is the second we make real progress and disrupt this patriarchal society meant to keep us down!
