Happy #TrekTuesday, everyone. My homebuilt #StarTrek captain's chair is nearly finished! I've gotten the electronics all wired up, and I've painted it. Just needs some topcoat and maybe some metallic trim work.
After that, I'll start working on a custom soundboard app in Android studio for the refurbished tablets in the armrests. I'll probably borrow some ideas from the awesome controls on Discovery's captain's chair.
It's far from perfect, but I'm pretty happy with it considering this is the first real woodworking project I've undertaken. I have learned so much from this project, and it's been a ton of fun.

As a plus, my toddler has fallen in love with it!
Major props to @TrekCore's image gallery, as well as @trekonlinegame's great Kelvin timeline bridge -- both were amazing for reference. Even though I riffed on the final design, it would have been so much harder without those sources.
Finally, a huge and heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who works on @StarTrek and @startrekcbs -- for a lifetime of imagination and inspiration, and especially for giving my kids the chance to grow up with Trek the way I did. #LLAP
