Astroworld rollout [THREAD] https://twitter.com/adam_marajj/status/1280607608823570433
The album’s official lead single is “Butter Fly” released in May 2017.

It peaked at #50 on the Hot 109 and didn’t have a radio impact. But this single was released before he hired Irving as his manager so it’s not interesting.
The first single Travis released with Irving as his manager was “Watch” ft. Lil Uzi Vert & Kanye West which was released on May 4, 2018 and expected to be the lead single of his album “Astroworld”.
Although, it didn’t make the album’s final cut, it did get sent to Rhythmic radio where it peaked at #21.

On the Hot 100, it peaked at #16.
On July 27, a giant Travis Scott head appeared on top of Amoeba Music in Hollywood and in various locations too, sparking rumors that the highly anticipated Astroworld was inching closer to reality.
3 days later on a Monday, Scott officially announced the release date of his long-awaited 3rd album set on August 3 (4 days later).

An album trailer with an unreleased track was also published building more anticipation for the project.
“Astroworld” debuted at #1 with 537,000 units in the US. 270,000 of these were traditional sales “supported by an array of Astroworld-inspired merchandise/album bundles sold via Scott’s official website” according to Billboard.
261,000 of these 537,000 units are translated to 349.43M streams in the US, posting the 5th biggest week on streaming ever.

On its 2nd week, the album stayed at #1 with 205,000 units. 78,000 were pure sales bolstered by an array of merchandise/album bundles and...
a tour announced that week (50,000 pure sales were due to ticket/album bundles).

Debuting at #4 on the Hot 100, with 55.1M streams & 22K pure sales, “Sicko Mode” was picked as the 2nd single off the album. It got sent to Rhythmic radio on August 21.
8 weeks later, “Sicko Mode” reached #2 on the chart following its music video arrival garnering 38.5M streams and 58.2M in airplay.

The track was blocked from the top spot by Marron 5 & Cardi B’s “Girls Like You” spending its 6th and penultimate week at the top.
After 5 weeks in the top 3, the single finally reached #1 in the US, dethroning Ariana Grande’s “Thank U, Next”.

The song’s sales were aided with a Skrillex remix at $0.69, the original version discounted & a bundle offering the remix and the whole album at $0.69 too.
The numbers it did that week were 37.2M streams, 65.1M in airplay & 24K pure sales.

With this bundle and more than two other dozen merchandise/album bundles released through his official website, “Astroworld” returned to #1 on Billboard 200.
Billboard reports “Each of items -- including a keychain, hats, T-shirts, hoodies and so forth -- came bundled with a digital copy of the Astroworld album” boosting the sales to 31K (+816%).
The album’s 3rd single “Yosemite” was sent to Rhythmic radio in November but couldn’t achieve another successful chart run as “Sicko Mode” was still charting high.
Its peak is #25 on the Hot 100 (being also its debut position when the album first came out).

The last and fourth single was “WAKE UP” which debuted #30 when the album came out.

Despite reaching #1 on Rhythmic (being sent in March 2019), the single didn’t manage to reach...
... a new peak on the chart only going #82 during the summer of the year.
