So y'all know, Hugo voting has not opened yet, and is supposed to close in a week.

Which means that when it does open, you can expect an endless stream of "You know what's fun? VOTING FOR THE HUGOS" from me.

Do I want to win? Yes.
Do I want to win very, very badly? Yes.
Do I want to win because only people who were going to vote for me already remember and bother to vote? No.

I want to win because people look at the options and say "yes, MIDDLEGAME was the best book on this list, it is the one people will still be reading and thinking about in twenty years."

"Yes, InCryptid is the best example of the flexibility and potential diversity of the long-form series format on this list, and deserves to be recognized as such."

But that means I need to HOWL AND SCREAM when voting is finally open, because the more noise I make, the more people will remember to vote, even if it's not for me.

Please please please please vote. If you have voting rights, please vote. And this is not the same as me saying "please vote for me." If I lose, I want to lose honestly.
