The day elliot launched their hype 6/18 video and DTC twitter was doing the circle jerk, they had been testing on our site and accidentally sent a fake order email with random products to our customers, who had frantically emailed us thinking their finances were compromised.

That was also a day sergio and our team had set up bi-weekly calls. Sergio cancelled the call that day and all meetings moving forward.

Emailed us hours later saying it was “fixed” with no insight as to what exactly happened.

But we still stayed quiet.

We couldn’t upload products for over a month because there was an issue with: the manual product uploader, the CSV uploader, and their Shopify scraper. All were defunct.

Weeks later sergio hires someone off Upwork to somehow upload our products and marked 15+ products @ ONE CENT

Customers were purchasing $35 products at one cent. When we told sergio that this is a fee they should incur, he said “im sorry miss were just not doing that, just cancel the order”

We didn’t cancel orders, we lost about $500, I cried myself to sleep that night

Their “CX” team which was comprised of all the founders and one other man would constantly gaslight me. I’d tell them there’s an issue and their immediate response was “well I don’t see it on my end”, every. single. time.

I was expected to know CSS and was made to feel stupid-

that I didn’t know what Zapier was. Mind u miles didn’t come on SLX till late February. By this time I became increasinly depressed and anxious.

Miles validated everything I was going thru w Elliot, ensured me that this wasn’t a me issue, and that their platform was a fraud.

But again, they pushed that Latino narrative. Reminded me that they helped me launch, they never made me forget that.

they promised us that they were well capitalized and were building all the features we needed to be successful. So we let a another couple months go by..

Still no changes, pure gaslighting.

I was finally at my peak and decided to express my frustrations via tweet. Next day he retaliates as I’m about to present at a WOC conference, posting out of context emails and a fake investor letter. Which no, he holds zero equity. Like what

I have 100s of more tweets where these all came from. Do I feel brave? Sure..scared? Fuck yeah. S*rgios silence is creepy. I wouldn’t be surprised if he was writing some sort of false manifesto about me and my team right now.

I introd my two homegirls who are esteemed business owners to them in NYC. When I met up with them in LA a few days ago and told elliot shut down and im so sorry for connecting them they told me verbatim

“Don’t be sorry, men get away with things all the time, we knew they were

Marco and Sergio were name dropping them left and right, trying to use them for promo, and they weren’t having it.

Women of color helped Elliot get funding. I repeat.

WOMEN OF COLOR WERE USED TO HELPED ELLIOT GET FUNDING! I repeat!!

From the hype circle of women on twitter who genuinely tried to see the good in them and be optimistic, to the small biz (me) that was exploited behind the scenes, black and brown women were used.

Sergio went on a rant about me and their investors were praising them the next day.

Stop being performative virtue signaling lowlifes and actually protect women founders goddammit. Fuck your investment and actually do something.
