When I read a plausible description of a kind of "natural evolution process" of society, economic systems, political arrangement, and philosophical structures that advance through stages I feel an urgent desire to live through and usher in the next stages quickly.

But the acceleration might be "jumping the gun" of that mysterious "natural" part of the process and crumble badly.

I am not entirely convinced that a distant future historian will conclude that someone like Marx wasn't that far off, it was just that people were getting antsy.

This tweet should not be confused as a pitch for Marx's prescriptions. He developed an astute assessment of the human condition and the problems created by the feedback loop with economic systems that meet biological needs... but he endorsed dimwitted escape solutions.
