Conscription in South Korea has existed since 1957 and requires male citizens between the ages of 18 and 28 to perform compulsory military service and completely managed by Military Manpower Administration (MMA)

CLASSIC MUSIC Players like VIOLINISTS, PIANISTS, BALLET performers are also exempted from military service ,for example
Seong Jin-Cho - who won Hamamatsu International piano competition
Dong Hyek Kim who won 5th place at international Busoni piano competition , and 2nd at Hamamatsu International piano competition
According to MMA Military Manpower Administration 220 ,I repeat 220 
exemptions were granted in a span of 10 years from 2008-2018

This is the end of the thread , the intention of this thread is to make ARMY aware of the fact they are many South Korean men who are exempted from enlistment because of the representation of the country at international boards
I am a baby Army and really sorry if I offended anyone with this post ,my intention was just to spread the knowledge
