If you're looking for a war survival game where you play as a civilian rather than a soldier, you might wanna try This War of Mine by @11bitstudios. Available on both PC and mobile. I have to warn though, it can be quite dark... and haunting.
Inspired by the Bosnian War, TWoM is set in a fictional urban war zone, where you manage the survival of stuck civilians. It takes you through a series of moral dilemmas. Each choice affects each character's wellbeing and ending differently. Survive 'til ceasefire, beat the game.
In its own way, TWoM reminds you how bombs and bullets aren't the only ones that kill in war. In war, you also fight against hunger, crime, human rights violations, disease, and mental illness. No side truly wins. And who lose and suffer the most are the civilian victims.
I used to play TWoM for hours straight so I wouldn't lose track of past actions and outcomes. Over time, I had to mute or change my background music bc I found that it intensified how the game affected my mood. I think that shows how effective TWoM as an anti-war game.
