Today is my birthday, and I usually don’t announce that, but I’ll be asking for a gift at the end of this thread (even tho I hate threads).

2020, as for many others, has been by far the toughest year of my life.
My first girlfriend of 6 months dumped me. Baseball got delayed. My pay and time were cut due to COVID. My mom revealed she had stage 4 breast cancer.

I was dealing with all of these realities while spending a chunk of it alone in a city I’m not from in a costly apartment.
I’ve been seeing different forms of therapist for almost 2 years now, but really didn’t start getting deep into finding out who I was until all of these things transpired. And even though I feel like I’m slowly getting stronger, there are still days where I feel worthless.
We’re all going through a lot this year in many ways, and many people have it much worse than me, with less means to get through it or cope.

So...
My birthday ask is to reply (or DM) with anything that has helped you get through tough situations. Books/movies/meditations/music/podcast/etc.

My hope is that we can all find coping strategies that work best for us and normalize improving our mental health.
