Many workers, employers and freelancers in the cultural industries watched today’s statement with baited breath in hope of support for their futures.

It’s unacceptable that freelancers were not mentioned in the chancellor’s statement and their futures remain in peril.
The VAT cut will be welcome to many that can open, however it doesn’t yet help many creative companies, such as theatres who have no timetable to reopen. 2/3
