The VAT cut only applies to 'eat in' or 'hot takeaway'.
If you eat a sandwich, you won't get the help.
Good for Greggs, not so good for PretAManger.

Given all those maps suggesting Greggs in Brexit areas, Prets in Remain areas...maybe it's not a coincidence?
How long before someone says Sunak has replaced Osborne's 'pasty tax' with a 'sandwich tax'?
Note that the chancellor's temporary VAT cut does NOT include alcoholic drinks.
And the 50% meal discount will only include non-alcoholic drinks, the Treasury documents add.
He's not a teetotal chancellor for nothing...
No VAT on sandwiches anyway, so 'sandwich tax' is a non-starter..
