Nobody has complete immunity against #malaria. No vaccine
As long as you live in a high-risk place like #Nigeria, any immunity from past infections could be lost when you're bitten by #mosquitoes repeatedly.
Follow these 3steps to protect yourself from frequent malaria attacks.

Follow these 3steps to protect yourself from frequent malaria attacks.

- Spray your skin with insect repellent roll-ons or body sprays.
- Spray your bedroom with insect repellants.
- Reapply sprays frequently.
- Make sure your spray contains #DEET (or #diethyltoluamide). It's very effective.

- Don't spray it directly on to your face or on a wound
-Spray on your hands first, then rub onto your face to avoid contact with lips & eyes
- Don't use DEET in children less than 2months

- Rinse your palms after applying DEET

- Cover your arms & legs esp during evenings & night when Mr. & Mrs. Mosquito are out for a blood meal on your body.
- No, don't wear shorts.
- Go on light, loose trousers & long sleeve shirts to balance comfort with protection.

- If your bedroom is properly screened or netted & your close your door often & spray your bedroom frequently, you may not need a net.
-If that's not the case, sleep in insecticide-treated mosquito net.
It's one of the best ways to prevent malaria!
Don't be deceive that garlic, yeast, turmeric, olive oil or dogon-yaro leaves can protect you from mosquito bites & save you from malaria. There's no evidence supporting this.
