Some kid doing cosplay making ED POV's on tiktok however, does. And they make that video. And the comments are full of people describing their ED's and romanticizing the content in the video. The creator likes their comments. Addison Rae does a dance to Prom Queen by Beach Bunny

People are slightly offended at first. It escalates into a myriad of people of all ages describing in graphic detail how they violently starved, compensated, and/or self harmed. No one even noticed that Addison removed her video, because it completely took over.

This happened even though Prom Queen had been trending on the app a few years ago. When I listened to the song to add it to my playlist, I couldn't believe people were letting it be a trend. I have had several videos on my fyp that fall into ED culture.

Everything from Prom Queen to fad diets and calorie crunching, people tracking their weight and eating, workout content that promotes harmful ideas, jokes about ED's. I once saw a video from a kid with a tiny account, about how they weren't able to go to the bathroom, so they

vomited in their backyard. The video was them in their backyard with a caption recapping what had happened. The comments were all sad and supportive. I used to see the exact same thing on Tumblr when I was 14. Eating Disorder culture on TikTok is a huge problem.

TikTok is an extremely versitale app, with the possibility of combining image, video, sound, songs, and two kinds of text. That was possible on Tumblr too, but not in combination with eachother. TikTok also has the for you page, where anyone's video can be shown to whoever.

There are no social media platforms that do not sell or misuse your information. I just graduated from studying media and communications, I know this to be a fact. You cannot escape it. I think there are tangible issues at our hands we should focus on instead of China.

People on Norwegian TikTok have told me to shoot myself in the roof of my mouth. That's something I've thought about in the past. Norwegian TikTok is incredibly toxic. Bullying and harrasment is rampant. That's just one 'side' of TikTok. Every Norwegian who uses TikTok will have

'Norwegian TikTok' on their for you page, due to geographical algorithms. They will be exposed to these bullies and this hateful environment. Even if you mainly interact with American or other foreign content, Norwegian TikTok will always be on your for you page.

I had never interacted with eating disorder content. Yet it shows up on my for you page almost every day. Kids on TikTok are in danger. I don't really have a conclusion to this thread I just needed to say this.
