#rstats
This presentation was really a love letter of appreciation for all the people contributing to and building on the #TidyTuesday project.

Ultimately, #TidyTuesday is just data, but the project is organized as a "Scaffold for a self-directed community of practice"
How big is the #TidyTuesday community?

Since 2018:
- 6,400 tweets and ~1,600 unique participants
- 2300 GitHub stars
- 118 weeks of data

#TidyTuesday was born out of the @R4DScommunity - founded by @kierisi and currently led by @JonTheGeek

TidyTuesday would not exist without their work/efforts, and Jesse was key in supporting the project and continues to support TidyTuesday at Kaggle!

The core functions:

tt_datasets(year) - this returns the available datasets!

Curious about how to engage your students remotely outside the classroom?

Dr. Stephanie Spielman had her students participate in #TidyTuesday for extra credit - lots of very cool submissions from her students ( #DataScienceforBiologists) https://twitter.com/stephspiel/status/1230841402118082561?s=20
