First of all, Maldini won the champions league 5 times, Messi is close with 4, put in mind that Messi has 3-4 more years atleast to equal Maldini number.

Also Maldino won 7 Serie a, Messi has 9, that mean they played in a dominant side who is probably the best in their country (Barcelona/AC Milan) But now they abuse Messi for winning this much of league titles, saying it’s easy and don’t matter

But yet they dont abuse Maldini for that. Let’s talk about their ballon d’or ranking, Maldino finished third in 1994 and 2003 ballon d’or ranking. While Messi has won 6 ballon d’ors, which is the most by a player in history

But yet again criticize Messi for winning ballon d’ors and they don’t mention Maldini (yeah Maldini is a defender which mean it’s difficult to win, but Cannavaro did that in 2006 while Zidane was clearly better)

And if you say that Romario (ballon d’or 1994 winner) has a better season than Zidane 2006 then you are wrong, so wrong. Zidane was phenomenal that season.

Ok let’s talk about loyalty. Both Messi and Maldini stayed at one club. (AC Milan for Maldini, Barcelona for Messi) both refused offers from big clubs, Maldini refused Man United and Real Madrid, Messi refused Inter...

The Match ended 1-0 to germany. And Messi bottled it. But what haters don’t want you to know that Messi only had 1 chance the whole match, and it’s very difficult one.

Also put in mid that Messi created so many clear chances to his teammates. Palacio missed a 1v1, Higuain too. What’s Messi fault if his teammates are bad and can’t finish easy chances.

At the end of the tournament, Messi won the WC golden Ball, as the best player in the tournament, which mean he was the best and he tried his best.

At the end of the thread, I want you the hater to know that don’t criticize a player and don’t criticeze the other with the same logic, if you use a logic to know who is good or bad, apply it to all players no matter what

Cause you blame Messi for bottling and not winning an international trophy, while Maldini did that too but you don’t blame him, only Messi.
