I just saw a rad thread about making your house& #39;s organization work for you/your nuerodiversity, and was like YEAH!!!! At all of it, buy also saw that it was like "things don& #39;t need to be labelled like insta home organization" and wanted to talk about labelling a sec
Insta style home org generally icks me out and isn& #39;t what this is abt. I& #39;m sure it& #39;s useful to the rich folks it serves, but for the rest of us, I just wanted to note that like I& #39;m autistic and I label everything. Everything. It helps me to remember stuff. But not like those pics
I don& #39;t really label boxes unless I genuinely think I& #39;ll need help remembering what& #39;s inside them, or they look really similar. Instead, I& #39;ll label light switches. Like "this one" or "closet"
If I don& #39;t label those switches, I& #39;ll definitely hit the wrong ones first every time. I& #39;ve done this for years. With a label, I do it on the first try. So random stuff in my house gets labelled.
I also use my label maker to write myself other instructions, like my weekly face care order. That& #39;s on my bathroom mirror. That way I don& #39;t have to remember it. I can just autopilot through ablutions. Same with meds.
I& #39;m sure not every roommate would love having their house covered in messages, but it works for me, and the temporary nature of it is useful.
A good functionality.

So idk! If you& #39;re like me and need the extra memory help from time to time, labels might be a good idea. Just employed a bit different than one typically encounters in those home org snaps
