which is why i felt that i should post this thread before it's too late.
also, disclaimer: "low", "high", "good" or "bad" scores are completely relative and a result that might be satisfactory for you might not be for another person and vice versa.

It's quite common for students to be told that "marks don't matter" when they're stressed but do we really truly believe in that?

so many of us also tend to make statements like "arre boards to easy hain, bahut marks aayenge" as a method of helping a junior who's anxious during their board year while completely disregarding that it just makes it harder for them to meet those expectations.

also the fact that you feel that it's your moral responsibility to "console" someone when they don't score as much as YOU expected them to is simply not right. I believe nobody should be allowed to make an assumption about whether someone scored well or not.

and please just normalise a "low" result even when the student mentioned that their exam went well. errors in evaluation are very likely in this case and even if it isn't an error, it's not your goddamn concern

in addition to that, none of us should forget that every student puts a considerable amount of effort into their preparation and that is truly what should matter the most.
