/n At wave 1 (2014) of Pew's American Trends Panel Survey, 27% and 10% of white liberals indicated that they got politics news from NYT and WPost, respectively, over the previous week. When this same question was asked five years later (2019), these figures had...
/n jumped to 46% (NYT) and 36% (WPost), respectively. (notice also the sizeable increases for the Guardian, Politico, and Twitter)
/n Coincidentally (not!), the percent of white liberals who say they primarily get their news via the web/social media moved from 36% to 55% across this same period, while there was only a small and insignificant increase among white conservatives (30%->34%)

/n I've previously noted the increase in liberals' NYT consumption, but the confirmation is nice https://twitter.com/ZachG932/status/1134274851609489408?s=20
/n Here are a number of others that couldn't make it into the initial graph. Most notable increase was in the percent of white liberals (43%->56%) who reported getting news from CNN in the previous week. Can we credit Don Lemon?
