I'm gonna form my own take.

The internet is no more enjoyable. You can never express or make a tweet without someone getting offended no matter how old you are even if it was a joke or an opinion. Apologies in the internet has no meaning but to piss someone off once more.

The internet now is like divided with two sides, the left part is where people are praised for doing good deeds, while the right side are the same type of people who've done the same things in the left side but instead they would be treated badly because they've done something-

minor or not in the past. Instead of forgiving the person, they will bully the hell out of the person, ruining that persons life and reputation. Now imagine that PewDiePie incident happened today? You know that many people would harass him for saying that even if it was accident.

It shows how much the internet and the entire world has changed after 2016. Now it's filled of bunch of people who wants to cause harm to the society who thinks that they are doing something good but they are just promoting bad things for the younger users in the future.

This is the main reasons why I want to take a break or probably quit social media because many people don't show empathy for the person who've caused it and apologies are a main source of fuel to lighten up the fire. It feels like saying nothing is better than apologising.
