I want to rewatch "Midsommar" to catch what I missed in theater a year ago, but that opening is dreadful. Not as in "it was bad and not worth sitting through," but literally "filled me with dread so effectively that it was hard to sit through."

The majority of serial killers are white males [citation needed], and so are most of the directors who make gritty suspenseful thrillers about serial killers. [citation needed] Coincidence???

It has come to my attention that there are other cultures, with fewer white males, whose murderers and filmmakers are probably comprised of a different majority. But we may never know.

I am now hearing reports that the director of "Silence of the Lambs" also made other, different movies. More as this story develops.
