suna has a secret that only osamu knows, and that is, he loves cotton candy. osamu never really understood suna’s addiction to that specific confectionary, it is overwhelmingly sweet and it’s definitely not good for you. and osamu prefers onigiris. he has a big appetite afterall.

it has become a small little routine for them, suna will make onigiris for osamu and in return osamu will get suna cotton candy. it was their way of communicating and they’re fine with it.

those two didn’t really like speaking, but they enjoyed each other’s presence.

“i have another secret, samu”

“are u willing to tell me?”

“maybe when the time is right”

the time never came. suna could only watch osamu faling in love with akaashi, a setter from fukurodani. was what they had between them was merely act of friendship?

there was a festival. osamu invited suna, promising him to buy cotton candy. suna was indeed excited until he didn’t know he was the one third wheeling.

akaashi hands osamu onigiris with his favourite filling. even akaashi knows about that now huh?

suna walks away from the couple, away from the festival. he was heartbrokened but he couldn’t cry. he just felt hallow inside.

he finally stopped walking once he reached a small river. with all his might, he threw his cotton candy into the river.

now, suna hates cotton candy and his overwhelming love for osamu.

“didn’t you like cotton candy?”

“it’s a secret.”
