Going to shout into the void a little more about my postponed/ cancelled wedding

First of all, from childhood my biggest fear was always that my father wouldn’t be there when I got married. My parents are alive and healthy. However they live across the country and they won’t be there when I get legally married next month. Worst fear confirmed

And I don’t really want them there, or anyone, because it’s not safe and that makes me sad.

So I rescheduled my wedding (reception I guess?) for next year. If trump gets re-elected I might as well cancel that one too.

Like every little girl, I’ve dreamed about my wedding my whole life. I remember drawing pictures of my future wedding dress at daycare when I was 7. My dream wedding is already gone and there’s nothing anyone can do to change that. I’ll die mad.

I knocked on doors for Hillary, donated money and made this twitter account specifically to share “memes” with facts about her platform. I even made friends irl from this account. I’m grateful for everyone here. But I can’t help but carry a deep anger and bitterness

Anyway I’m sure I’ll return to this thread to complain more because this isn’t going away. Everyone has been touched by Covid. I’m lucky me and my family are alive but Trump stole my dream wedding from me. I’m a nice person and I’m sad at how bitter and angry this has made me.
