Since March, education finance experts have estimated that schools would likely need upwards of $150B in funding to address interim remote learning needs and stand a chance of opening schools safely in the Fall.

To date, Congress has granted... $13B.
We get what we pay for.

School, district, & state edu leaders are working like crazy to get plans in place but they’re not wizards.

Any safe options will require significant resources. Miami estimates that single-day masks alone would cost $9m per MONTH. That is ONE district.
Just think about some basic numbers here:

50m students x 180 school days... So take the cost of any daily PPE materials and multiply it by 9 BILLION.

Now include costs for teacher and staff PPE, extra buses, extra tech, new meal plans, extra training, extra custodial time... 🤯
