I still don’t get why when we learn about the founding fathers they are glorified to all hell. Like most of them owned slaves and fought to avoid giving up their slaves. Also on top of that one fucking rapped a child slave. Like bro WTF.

If a future employer call me out for this I don’t care it needs to be said. The Founding Fathers were wealthy, rich, spoiled assholes. I see why people want their statues taken down. Don’t hit me with that bs talking about it wasn’t bad at the time, slavery had been outlawed by

a ton of countries at the time, Britain the so called villain in the story had already moved towards getting rid of slavery. Don’t say it was not the popular thought at the time because the people who were on the plantations got something to say about it.

As far as I am concerned the Founding Fathers didn’t found this country the hard work of my ancestors did. Fuck them I’m done with people glorifying them as saints who fought for freedom they were upperclassmen who fought for their values, MONEY.

Honestly I need a new history taught in school where we are told the full scope of history, I’m tired of having to find this out from the internet. On top of that conservatives who support the idealist version you are part of the problem.

Anybody coming back to this thread the whole point is why are we given this glorified version of history for so many individuals, I get that winners write history but so much vital information is left out that people could learn not to repeat.
