i know it's been like 6ish months since they split but uh....i wanna do a thread of the things my friends and i went through as an update account for @InRealLife and some of the things that went down with irl members in general that people refused and do not talk about anymore

there is also some stuff on their label in this as well but for the most part it's about my experiences (my friends may do their own threads later) and some of the things these people did. (i'm also really nervous rn please bare with me as i tell)

i was the original creater of irlupdatealert (or irlua). i wanted to do something for the fans to keep them updated on the group because they just formed (from boyband) and originally there were 7-9 people working with me but it eventually got down to two

the first few months were a bit rocky just because most of us had never done anything regarding updating and stuff so it was all very new but exciting. there were a lot of problems at first but as i said it was a new team of people which is why it ended up going down to like two

most of this was because of the inactivity of the group. their first single came out in august 2017 and by december they'd dropped two holiday songs but they weren't really worth promoting because they were holiday songs so we really did not have

much to update on causing our team to decrease. february of the next year though we only had two members (myself and another person on the team named lana) and we ended up adding a third to our team after they released their second single tattoo. here's where it gets very

we ended up getting a dm one day from someone who worked with them (will not say who exactly to keep their privacy reason) but here are our first messages with them at first we were all very skeptical & questioned everything but it became very evident it was legit after the fact

so basically this person needed our help with promotion for the single and at first we just helped w radio stuff. we were even offered to get exclusive stuff for helping out (which fell through and i'll explain how)

note: the person from their team was always very professional with us. i don't blame them for anything that happened simply for the fact that they were always really kind to all of us and was the only one who truly appreciated all of our work in the end.

fast forward to early april 2018 we had decided to do a promo project back in march to promote the single (poster below) and we were helping with radio stations and normal promotion stuff. by april we ended the project and then ended up getting followed by the group page and

other fans who did the most got the same prize. by may of 2018, the person was still dming us we ended up collaborating with another promo account to push the song to radios all over and the project was called lifelines on tour. around this time is where things became even more

weird. weeks after the kick off of the new project some screenshots of michael conor's old ask fm got out where he said the n word and derogatory slurs against disabled people. it was all very disgusting and really disturbing to me and the others who were on the team so we

decided to stop updating on him because of it. the things said to us were only a small portion of what their fans said to us we were getting yelled at for not wanting to post on his activities. i am black so i was really offended about him using the n word & because of this

he unfollowed me, sjai, and irlua through the group account for calling him out for it. i don't have the actual screenshots from when he did it because i was in the middle of getting over a very hard time but we ended up dming the label member ab it & here was the response.

though he apologized it is very evident that he did not grow nor learn from anything he did (which many of you probably know). anyways it all became very awkward for me so i stopped being a fan for a while even though i was still working with the update account

july 2018 came and i slowly came back after tbty release though i was very skeptical with michael. august rolled around and this is the same month of their one year at the time and drew ended up mocking what he called a gay accent on livestream which was very offensive

that man has always been very ignorant he tried to apologize but then ended up blocking a fan for saying his apology wasn't legit because he was liking tweets that said he did nothing wrong and with that we slowly stopped updating on him as well. september comes they dropped

another single which would end up being their last for the year. they went on their first solo tour and then after that there was no content nothing to update on so we slowly stopped posting. six months passed until they dropped their next song and a lot went down

it is all very upsetting still looking back everything that happened within that time period i can never get back any of that pain and bitterness but i can tell you how i felt through all of it and only hope i can feel better after i get it out

okay i'm back um so it's december 2018 by now it was evident nothing new was coming so the girls and i started planning for the next year to get ahead i guess um we were also looking for a new person to join us in the new year because it was going to get stressful with these new

ideas we had then michael had his second strike with me because he was getting hate for a cover he did and then he proceeded to say reverse racism was real which was weird and then he yelled at another friend of mine and called twitter stans sensitive (cannot find the ss but he

do did that he ignorant and did not grow as i said) january/february 2019 two things happened within the group: sergio said the n word on video and then drew said the f word and starting gaslighting people for calling him out it has always been evident that he does not care about

anything he does. by this time the girls and i started to question what we wanted to do next because 3/5 had offended a lot of people so we asked our following if we should take a break. a lot of them treated us very gross and kept defending them and saying a lot of

disgusting things that i cant been begin to describe it was very upsetting because it all felt like nobody cared about anyone but the white stans and their feelings. this is when i decided i was done with the fandom for good and the 3/5 that were ignorant.

march comes they dropped she do and expected us to promote it while everything was still happening i helped a little bit but i was not really that into them so i stopped that after a while and then we finally ended up w someone new bc one of the girls went ia

flash forward august of last year they dropped their album for their two years they had a show in ny to promo the album that weekend and announced tour dates at that show

so the thing with the tour: we only knew cities and they did not tell us when tickets went on sale and only said more info the following monday. monday comes and the tickets went on sale that SAME day when we did not know anything, the fans were all very lost and sjai

had to physically go find these dates to update everybody and tell them the tickets were on sale. there was no info, or anything (unprofessional). also by this time we also started a new promo project on the side to help promo the album (i will bring this back up)

i won't mention in detail everything but brady told a fan that the tickets weren't even on sale that day when in fact they were and irl nor team gave any notice. for the tour (which happened in october) the girls and i decided to open a tour page for fans and solely

for fans to get tour content and see everything and this all was very and utterly stressful considering the lack of info we had when we started it. also the member we were working with had then left so we then lost our connection with them and rumors were then speculating

about them leaving their label. before we lost our connection, they told us we'd be in touch with their actual like manager via email. we never got anything from them nor did they reach out to us for anything after we tried to reach them first once the other person left

it was also really shitty post the person we talked to leaving because for our promo project we were working with them to get facetimes to our promo project prize winners, which never got fulfilled because said manager never reached out to us at all leaving those fans

disappointed, us untrust worthy and lost out of everything regarding the group. by the time the manager eventually reached out to us, they had then left too and then we were redirected

in the end we never got anything or heard from anyone after like september tbh we ran a whole tour page plus updates and it wasn't enough and by the time we were thinking again the group broke up then we chose to stick with brady until february happened

tbh with him we tried to reach out and do better but then biden stuff happened and we wanted to talk to him about that and explain why it was wrong but then he stopped talking to us after saying we would be his official update/fan account when we were trying to schedule so......

in conclusion: this is my experience w irl as an update account.... none of this is anything like expose worthy it's just their label wasn't shit and neither were them or their fans and i just really wanted to talk about this fully because this is what happened to me

also i felt really heavy with all of this not out talking to the only two people who experienced it too wasn't fun so i'm glad it's out also forgot to say the only thing we got out of promoting them was a group page follow........take what u will that but yea
