so one thing i wanna sort of, put forth here, is that a lot of plural stuff goes into religious territory! and that's like. absolutely fine

it's,,,, less fine when you don't Call it That https://twitter.com/elliottdunstan/status/1280630300104679424
so i guess a big part of what I want people to consider - and this is very broadly aimed - is how important it actually is to you that people wholeheartedly believe in the way that you experience the world

not 'believe' as in 'accept is real'

'believe' as in Faith
the trouble with plural, other mental health, and queer experiences all being so closely intertwined is that you have sysmeds, transmeds, and plain old 'Phobes muddying the waters on what 'belief' means
I don't believe in head-hopping, or alternate universes, or a host of other things (haha host) but that's not like... I don't live in your head. Idk what happens for you. My belief does not entail 'therefore you're lying' because for me, that's tantamount to saying-
-that me being Jewish is the same as calling atheists liars/wrong. Which, I don't. So I hope that kinda puts things in perspective about my Overall Approach! and like - the medical/spiritual line blurring isn't *terrible* but needs a lot of caution
this is also a good place to quietly add that when you belligerently go "plurality ISNT a MENTAL ILLNESS" i do, in fact, see you, and as a mentally ill person, wonder why that's so terrible,

so,

some extra food for thought there,
