Marion ( @MarionGraham20) leaves the lab after successfully defending her MS thesis, and graduating this year is a bit... anticlimactic.

To counter that, I want to celebrate the great things that Marion accomplished!
Marion came to Loyola alllllll the way from Durand, Michigan. When she joined the lab, she rapidly mastered RNA extractions and became the "RNA Diva" of the lab.
Her skills with RNA led to her inclusion on Vince's paper ( https://jvi.asm.org/content/93/14/e00530-19.abstract) because she made such beautiful data.

Look at those error bars!
Her thesis focused on how viruses and cells compete for polyamines. While it's still a work in progress (thanks COVID!), Marion did incredible work and really opened a lot of exciting avenues in the lab.
Also she is responsible for making the pipets spin in this video.

She only called me old once when I couldn't figure out how to take a video.
She was also responsible for the lab's window clings.
Now she's off to Rush University to start her PhD. Best of luck to Marion on her new adventure! We will miss you!!
