Òscar says that Rubén Blanco likely won't play more this season.

So here's a look at Iván Villar, the Celta third keeper who will now get his chance after a very long wait.
Iván Villar is 22 years old, he came to Celta at 11 and has been training with the first team since he was 16-17. He signed his first 1st team contract two years ago.

He's previously been a U17 and U19 international for Spain and been praised as a very promising young keeper
Villar has been patiently waiting for his chance with two relatively young keepers in front of him Rubén (24) Sergio (33)

He got his first team debut already in 2017 under Berizzo but haven't played at Balaídos since then... until today.
Directly after signing his first team contract two years ago he was loaned out to Levante, but didn't get any playing time.

Last year he decided to play with Celta B in Segunda B again and had a great season being a key in saving them from relegation
Then this season he's returned to be full time with the first team.

I have personally not seen a lot of him, but what I've heard has only been positive however except for last season with Celta B, his playing time the last years have been quite limited.
The again that Celta didn't sign a goalkeeper when Sergio got injured knowing that Rubén is injury-prone, shows the trust they have in Villar and I think that speaks volumes in itself.

He's worked hard to deserve the chance he is now getting with 3 matches remaining.
