A thread to shed light on @triumphchairs and @ryzerchairs. Both are not real companies selling branded products. Their products are sourced through AliExpress (Triumph) and Amazon FBA (Ryzer). Both models end up with marked up prices on low quality products #supportsmallstreamers

Whether you source through AliExpress or Amazon FBA does not make the product quality better or worse. The product still has the same origin, a poor quality manufacturer, and most likely from China. #supportsmallstreamers

Their supply chain is “Manufacturer > AliExpress or Amazon FBA > Brand (TriumphChairs/RyzerChairs) > Consumer”. There are multiple middle men in this supply chain, resulting in multiple price mark ups because each link in the chain has to profit. #supportsmallstreamers

Real brands such as AKRacing, DXRacer, Secretlabs, Maxnomic, TechniSport, etc has direct relationships with manufacturers. Their supply chain “Manufacturer > Brand > Consumer”. It allows for a lot better quality and as a result, competitive prices. #supportsmallstreamers

In TriumpChairs & RyzerChair supply chain, the manufacturer can make a $100 quality product, mark it up for AliExpress/AmazonFBA, who then marks it up for the Brand (Triumph/Ryzer), who then marks it up for the consumer. A $100 is now $250 for the consumer. #supportsmallstreamers

B/c real brands actually design and test their products with manufacturers, they produce a high quality $200 product. And mark it up the same $250 for the consumer. Would you rather pay $250 for a high quality product or $250 for a poor quality product? #supportsmallstreamers

Remember, every link in the supply chain has to profit, otherwise the chain breaks. So products with multiple middle men in the chain is marked up 200-300% of manufacturer cost, while a product with direct brand/manufacturer relationship will mark up 30-40% #supportsmallstreamers

This is why all the successful brands have direct relationships with manufacturers. They get to dictate the product quality and also control the price for the consumer. #supportsmallstreamers

Resellers like @TriumphChairs & @RyzerChairs have zero control on quality & price. They don’t even have contact with the manufacturer & their price is at the whim of the wholesaler (AliExpress & AmazonFBA) because they have to profit off their quoted prices #supportsmallstreamers
