I am paying myself $200 to cut my own hair. @MikeRoyce said he will kindly match that. The money is being donated to @BlackGirlsCode , a fantastic organization. I will post some pictures of my attempt under here as a thread.

So it turns out cutting your own hair is not as easy as I thought it was

This is where I started

Errors were immediately made

Here you can see I had some trouble maintaining proper clipper control which means I mixed up my 3 and my 2 and my 8. I kept changing don’t ask me why

I finally get that under control but I can’t get these long hairs in the back and I look like a bully that chases the Little Rascals

I thought I was done and then I saw that line above my right ear, like I was wearing sunglasses all day. Whiiich I wasn’t

I fixed it and was proud of myself! I did it!

But as they say, pride goeth before the fall

So, um?

A clear shot to take in something that truly cannot be fixed (the hair and the dope) #icutmyownhair

But it is what it is, and I will live with it. And hats. Lots of hats.
