Genuine question: How many cases of COVID are we catching with the temperature checks or screening questions at the door to medical centers?

It sort of feels like a "Thing We Do For No Reason".
Thanks to everyone who has replied or messaged me with data and view points on the benefits of screening. I realize this tweet sounds snarky but I actually am just curious to know what the data on this is. Hopefully someone smarter than me studies it.
I am not arguing against screening. I am merely acknowledging that this intervention, like many TWDFNR, is not based on any actual evidence. That doesn't mean screening doesn't have value. Screening certainly provides benefit in combatting "presentee-ism" in sick HCW.
It's also important for HCW and the public to feel safe coming to the hospital and screening definitely helps to provide that reassurance. Until widespread rapid testing is available I agree it is the best we have. Oh, and keep wearing your mask!
