I always wondered what happened to Charlie Fong. He just disappeared with no explanation, even off-screen. It was a gift to this struggling actor, but to this day it's bothered me how, after several seasons, I just got the cold shoulder on the way out. https://variety.com/2020/tv/news/peter-lenkov-fired-cbs-magnum-pi-macgyver-1234700376/
I wasn't owed anything, and truth be told, I was just a co-star who came in, did my job, and should have just been happy to have been there. But after 4 years, friendships built, and being a "good soldier", to have just been let go without so much as a termination notice...
It kinda stunk. I'm not crying over spilled milk and I loved my time on the show and the bonds built, but this news doesn't really surprise tbh. The decision to let me go came from the top but I made sure the door didn't hit me on the way out, even if I was in the dark as to why.
