My thoughts on why this literally isn’t copying B*S albums:
1. Take a look at their seasons greetings, first one is from 2020, and the other is from 2019 (keep in mind it’s technically 2019, 2018 bc SG’s works like that)

They not only played with GRADIENTS, but the minimalistic look of line design which adds an abstract element to it.
2. Their Secret album, which is from 2016, also used that very gradient technique, incorporating colors like purples, pinks, peach, greens and blues.

And their SMSY album which included their line design before the 2019 Seasons Greetings, keep that in mind. (Came out 2018)
June 4th, 2019 this album came out, For The Summer.

This is peak WJSN graphic design I’d say, because it implements the same elements of their previous albums.

Gradients on shapes, the line design, and the abstractness of it all. This is a STYLE.
Now to the As You Wish album, which is the embodiment of minimalism.

Black and White, the peach like color for the contrast. Not only that, but the line design once again, this time going for symmetrical look.

Keep this in mind.
All of the elements I described,

GRADIENTS, the various colors, the minimalistic look, and the LINE DESIGN. This is all that makes wjsn’s item design, and a style from the GFX designer.

Take all I said, combine it, take it to the next level and well, you get this.
The black one implements this tan, grey and black gradient with blurred elements.

The next one has a yellow, orange, green and a blue gradient which is also blurred perhaps.

Both have line designs similiar to their previous stuff, but this time more abstract. This is a style.
So in conclusion:

They have been doing like designs like this for years, they continually play with gradients, and even combines these elements before.

These elements stem from design principles which are used by everybody, so there is bound to be similarities.
But I can say, looking at their journey of design in the albums and other items, and maybe more that I didn’t cover.

The progression of their style leads to these albums, and has nothing to do with plagiarism or copying.
it’s as silly as comparing these. The left one is wjsn, and came out before this album. PLAGIRISM! I smell a lawsuit!!
This is sarcasm if you couldn’t understand, and showing how ridiculous people sound.
Anyways, this is all coming from a graphic designer and artist.

And no, they aren’t using the same font.
Lastly no one owns persona neither ego. These are psychological concepts, please don’t make it seem like this concept is all the sudden new because your faves did it.

End of thread.
*** To correct my typo, this is 2 photobooks, not an album!
