the pretense of a value neutral view from nowhere is a farce. it's a lie people like bari weiss and fareed zakaria tell themselves to justify allowing a particular class of people determine the topics and rules of the debate.

to them the free exchange of ideas is a conversation amongst themselves. our role is to merely consume, to care only about the topics they discuss, analyzed within the frameworks they consider to be valid. anything else is intolerable
